In the Summer of 2003, the Bermuda Scout Association went on an expedition to the UK  During the two week trip, we spent one week in South Wales camping on a farm in the middle of the Brecon Beacons and a second week visiting different areas of the country, including Bristol and London.

There were many activities organised during the week's camp and these included orienteering (see above), hiking (see the next few pictures), monkey bridge building (page two on the web site), cooking competition (page 2), gorge scrambling (page 2) plus many others.

This was the youngest group that went on the day's hiking.  They completed the route that took them up Cribyn (both up and down!).  The picture above that includes a fair amount of smiling was taken BEFORE the hike!!

The happy gang above comprised the intermediary group who also did extremely well - they completed two of the peaks - Cribyn and Pen-y-Fan.  Again, a well deserved pat on the back to these boys, they did very well.  All three groups completed routes of a difficulty that had never been attempted before - WELL DONE!

This was the view at the start of the first climb for the older boys.  Their energy levels were still quite high although they were quite in awe of the task they had ahead of the them - Cribyn loomed over them in the distance....
